Dr.
Mark Hanson: 77th Assembly District Dr. Hanson: "Many candidates talk about improving people's lives. I've committed my life
to it. I'm a firm believer that actions speak louder than words, and my actions educating students, creating jobs, and
directing charities have spoken loudly indeed.
After losing my own home in the 2003 wildfires and sharing in the difficulties that the fire survivors faced, I began to rebuild
my own life while also raising money to help other fire survivors obtain cars and services and rebuild small businesses.
I am teaming up with the Project GreenSmart Consortium to develop technologies, manufacturing jobs, and achieve energy
independence, creating an estimated 80,000 new jobs for our region in the process. As an educator, I've served as both
a teacher and administrator at the high school and college levels. . I've been twice honored as Teacher of the Year ('80
& '82), and received awards from the California School Boards Association and the National Council of Teachers of
English. I will work with schools to give students more academic and career options upon graduation
I serve as
President of The Heartland Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to creating jobs by partnering with businesses
and community resources. I continue to serve our youth, our veterans, our workers, and small businesses through the training,
consulting, and workforce development efforts of my corporation, LMI of San Diego.
It would be my honor to continue
my life of public service as your next assemblyman and I humbly ask for your vote."
