The mission of the Santee Democratic Club is to foster Democratic
ideals; to improve the lives of working Americans, children, students and the elderly through political pressure applied to
all levels of government; to become informed and to disseminate facts on the issues; to encourage Democrats to vote; and to
help shape and support the Democratic Party Platform.
The Santee Democratic Club provides opportunities for active political participation. We welcome Democrats who want change
and are willing to help achieve it.
Come to a meeting and let your concerns be known. Help recruit the best Democratic candidates and talk with them in person.
There are over 100,000 registered Democrats in the East County Area. Democratic clubs throughout San Diego County
are coordinating their efforts through joint meetings and events. Together we can create a better Democratic Party and a better

| Jan Barnes: 1939-2008 |
Known affectionately
as the unofficial mascot by the staff of "Mike Lumpkin for Congress", Jan Barnes
will be missed. Jan attended all Santee and La Mesa Democratic Club events with the enthusiasm of a seasoned campaigner. Though
hindered
by chronic disease, she handled adversity with grit and determination. Jan is watching over us now, urging us on to victory.
